Dawn or twilight. If you miss a day, begin again or finish the nine without pretending the calendar is magic. She is not a parking meter.

What you may not ask

This house forbids petitions meant to coerce, bind, or hurt a named person. Take that somewhere else, or put it down.

The ninth day

Keep what you promised. Flowers, bread, thanks. If you promised nothing, do not invent a debt to look devout.
